Contents

The beginning of the text is missing. On reverse of a one-page letter from John Blow dated 4 March 1709 (i.e. 1710) concerning Newton's church tax.

Notes

According to the Ch-H catalogue, this forms part of SL255. However, SL255 was bought at the 1936 Sotheby sale by Emmanuel Fabius of Paris for £13.10s., and offered by Sotheby's in New York, apparently intact, on 3 December 2004 for $300,000-$500,000 (but not sold). Since no other portion of Fabius's substantial purchases of Newtoniana had ever entered the public domain before the 2004 sale, it seems very unlikely that this could be part of SL255.

Blow's letter calendared in NC, 7: 474.
